I have a lingering sore throat and can’t hear out of my right ear. 

When I first experienced these symptoms(well close enough)…I went to a local GP at one of them SUPER clinics with some random GP.  The kinda place where you just take the earliest appointment with whichever doc is free…. and the only doc that is free is the young pimple faced awkward doc *sigh* 

… anyway… I was told to get some “over the counter” cold and flu tablets and to HARDEN THE HELL UP!!! …. well he didnt say the last bit … but he shoulda.

So that was nearly a fortnight ago…. and yeah … throat still killing and still cant hear outa my right ear (tried some wax removal drops and ear candling….dont ask)

So I called my old GP… in a suburb nowhere bloody near my house or work to make an appointment.  Now this doc is wicked-rad!  Really nice bloke and knows his shit….. but!!!! he bloody works too hard and takes on too many noob patients!

THe next appointment is 1 week away!  wot the hell?  I might be cured by then!

Its so freakin hard to get an appointment with a decent GP….
